This definitely wouldn't do much in terms of locating a specific book (unless you can remember what color it is) but I do love the results. What do you think - would you ever color coordinate your bookshelves?

I love the look.
I love the way it looks. I did my DVDs by color....of course we don't really have that many DVDs so it was pretty easy. But it looks cool.
Love those books and also the new blog lift. Great work as always!
i shelve my books by color and not only do i love the way it looks, but i find it extraordinarily easy to find one, as well! you find that you remember the spine colors a lot faster this way! as if it is a very vital detail!! ;)
thanks for sharing this beautiful eye candy!

Oh my goodness eye candy is right! it's beautiful! Mesmerising. I want books like that!
Oh, definitely. I colour code everything (for some reason, I can easily remember colours of binds of books, dvds, etc., although my husband cannot quite as easily!) Sometimes it just helps to make sense of the visual overload and there's something so lovely about a spectrum of colour...
Loving the look, and of course, most importantly... the pug. Can I borrow that pic for my Pug Friday feature?
I think it looks pretty but I don't think I would do this. I organize my books by type... the Lit nerdy books go together, the book club type books together, the travel books together, etc. I just couldn't put Jane Austin by something like Twilight if they had the same color- couldn't do it!
Wow. This makes my heart flutter.
